| This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it! Sammi heads to Italy on a spur of the moment trip! This book made me reminisce about my trip to Italy many years ago! It also reminded me of one of my favourite movies, 'Under the Tuscan sun’. A beautiful holiday story that will draw you in...make you want to travel. Sammi was a great character, true to herself and not wanting to really settle for the meager accommodations of her tour. Little did she know that when she meets the gorgeous Marcello, that things may go awry. OH boy, a dilemma happens and what can she do but wait it out. Experience life in the Italian way. This story just tugged at my heart and I fell in love with Marcello, and the things that happened in the story. I wanted to read so much more...but I'm glad to see it ended how it did. Does Sammi find her way back home?? Is her heart intact?? Or has she left it in Rome?? Read it to find out. This is a real feel good read!! Paperback Copy received from Hachette Au. |
This is the first book I have read by C.J Duggan and it certainly won’t be the last, when you start a series at book 4 and you give it 4.5 Stars I think that tells you what a great series you have stumbled on. This author bought Rome to life, she describes it perfectly and you feel like you are right there with the characters experiencing life as only Italians can.
Sammie needs a break so she takes a gap year and books herself on a tour to Rome but things don’t go to plan and she finds herself stuck in a hotel with no reason to stay... well that was until she met the hot Italian stranger named Marcello.
If you love steamy romance and cities that come to life this is a must read, I need to go back and read the other books in this series before the next one comes out because I’m sure I will fall in love with every character and every city C.J. Duggan writes about.
